About this service
SENBridge (England)™ helps parents and carers understand SEND-related legislation, statutory guidance and official sources, with citations you can check. It can also suggest practical next steps. It is not formal legal advice — use a qualified adviser for your situation.
How answers are grounded
The assistant searches a local corpus of official text (for example the SEND Code of Practice and linked legislation), not the open web on every message. If nothing relevant is found, it should refuse rather than guess.
Official sources & freshness
14 sources are in the local knowledge base, last refreshed 19 August 2026.
Official pages are downloaded periodically into this project (not live on every chat message). When legislation or guidance changes, operators refresh the corpus and redeploy.
What we store
We do not store full chat conversations on our servers. While you keep this browser tab open, your conversation is held locally so you can close chat and browse other pages without losing it. Use Clear chat to remove it, or close the tab.
If you create an account, we store sign-in details (such as email). You can copy or share individual assistant replies from your device; we do not see where you send them.
If you star a message, that text is saved to your account until you unstar it or delete your account. If you save a letter or email draft, that text is stored on your account until you delete the draft or your account. See our privacy policy for details.
Glossary, guides and help
Unfamiliar acronyms? See the SEND glossary. Starting a process such as an EHC needs assessment? Try a step-by-step guide. For human advice, see help & signposting.
Safeguarding
If a child is in immediate danger, call 999. For safeguarding concerns, contact your local authority or see our help & signposting page.
England only unless you ask otherwise. Verify important decisions against the cited sources or a qualified adviser.
